Teaching award: CBAA Emerging Educator

In January I was honored at the College Book Art Association conference in Salt Lake City, where I was presented with the Emerging Educator award. The whole conference was inspiring, with exhibitions, sessions, lectures, and casual conversations that left me with food for thought for many future projects.

Many fellow University of Iowa Center for the Book graduates and students exhibited work.

Marnie Powers-Torrey, Emily Tipps, and everyone from the Book Arts program at Utah did a wonderful job putting it all together.

Summer workshop at WSW

IMG_4250.JPG

I am only teaching one workshop this summer (too much going on!). So please join me at Women's Studio Workshop, August 11 to 15.

Note that this is a workshop in papermaking, and we'll also be exploring natural dyes to color the fiber before sheet forming. If you want to learn to dye finished sheets of paper you might be interested in my North Bennett Street workshop this spring instead (see previous news post).
